The 8th International Conference on Applied Engineering and Technological Innovation (AENIT 2026), organized by the Faculty of Engineering in Applied Sciences at the Technical University of the North, is conceived as a strategic forum to connect academia, industry, the public sector, and international networks around digital transformation as a cross-cutting axis of sustainable development. Its relevance lies in the fact that sectors such as manufacturing, telecommunications, electricity and energy, textiles, automation, robotics, computer systems, health, and education now require solutions based on data, automation, traceability, cybersecurity, advanced connectivity, and new digital capabilities.
The event is directly linked to the research areas of the Faculty of Engineering in Applied Sciences and to the university's mission of promoting applied research, innovation, and engagement with society. AENIT 2026 invites contributions from Mechatronics, Automotive, Industrial, Software, Telecommunications, Textile, and Electrical Engineering, as well as Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, allowing each discipline to contribute case studies, prototypes, research results, workshops, and technology transfer experiences with a real impact on the country's productivity and competitiveness.
In terms of internationalization, AENIT 2026 strengthens UTN's institutional profile through the participation of speakers and scientific committee members from Latin America and Europe, as well as through the editorial guidance of research papers to indexed journals. Furthermore, its focus aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4 (quality education), SDG 8 (decent work and economic growth), SDG 9 (industry, innovation and infrastructure), SDG 12 (responsible consumption and production), and SDG 17 (partnerships for the goals).

Submission Guidelines

Abstract:

• Instructions for Authors: How to Submit Your Abstract in IMRaD Format

  Please ensure your abstract follows the IMRaD structure as outlined below:

  Introduction: Delimit the problem, synthesize the state of the art, and end with a specific research question or hypothesis.

  Methods: Describe the design, sample/population, instruments, procedures, preprocessing steps, statistical/computational analysis, and exclusion criteria.

  Results: Present the findings without interpretation. Start with the primary results, followed by secondary/sensitivity analyses.

  Discussion: Interpret what the results mean, compare them with previous literature, state the limitations, and explore implications.
