74th Meeting of the EURO Working Group on Commodities and Financial Modelling (EWGCFM)

Dear Colleagues,

The EURO Working Group on Commodities and Financial Modelling (EWGCFM) is pleased to invite submissions for its 74th meeting, to be held at Casa de Campo, in the Dominican Republic, from November 22–24, 2026.

This meeting brings together leading researchers and practitioners in finance, economics, and related fields to discuss recent advances in commodities, financial markets, and quantitative modelling. Papers in all areas of finance are welcome, including (but not limited to): Asset Pricing, Corporate Finance, Banking and Financial Institutions, Commodities and Energy Markets, Financial Modelling and Econometrics, Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies, Derivatives and Risk Management, Market Microstructure, and Sustainable Finance.

The conference will take place in Dominican Republic, home to the first city in the Americas and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the first cathedral and the first university in the New World. The setting offers a unique combination of historical significance and world-class conference venue.

(No Fault) Dual Submission to Financial Review (FR)

The Conference Organizing Committee will choose selected papers from those presented at the conference to be considered for publication by The Financial Review (FR). Within two months of the conference date, these papers will then go through a blind review process. This is a “no-fault” submission option, which means that if the FR decides to review the paper and rejects it, the author(s) can submit the paper to the FR through the normal submission process. Papers submitted for dual consideration must not be under review at any other journals.

Submitted papers should not have been accepted for publication at the time of submission. All submissions will be peer-reviewed by members of the Conference Program Committee.

JAAP SPRONK Early-Stage Research Award

The conference will feature the Jaap Spronk Award for Early-Stage Scholars, recognizing outstanding contributions by emerging researchers. The award is granted to papers with the highest rankings for research innovation, practical solutions, and impactful contributions. The winner(s) of the Jaap Spronk Memorial Award will be announced by his wife, Yvonne Spronk during a special ceremony.
